The HMS Surprise Tall Ship Model is a museum quality, fully assembled replica of the Surprise, an attraction at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, California and made famous when used as the 18th century tall ship in the movie, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World. Completely hand built using the plank-on-frame construction method with premium wood such as mahogany, teak, and rosewood, this collectible model is highly detailed and features two rows of metal cannons on each side of hull, metal anchors, lantern, wooden rudder, and extensive hand-knotted rigging with full hand stitched fabric sails. On deck, the features include two wooden boats in a large rectangular area with two wooden bunkers, a wooden/metal steering wheel, and a wooden bunker with telescope. There is a navigational area with two metal steering wheels and one wooden cabin. Arrives ready to display with wooden base and brass nameplate, HMS Surprise 1794. Each model is expertly packaged in a wooden crate to ensure proper delivery. Measures approximately 37" x 12" x 31".
